Кромерские tutti quanti: P.15 “The Rainy Emptiness” (En)

When preparing to our visit to Cromer this year, we knew, of course, that the weather would be quite opposite to what the rest of Europe is having right now (and my deepest sympathies to all badly affected by the heatwave: yikes!), but today’s Cromer forecast took the cake: the rain was pouring and drizzling throughout the whole Saturday and the temperature at some point dropped as low as +13/14. Yet there were plenty of them Brits going into the murky waters on their boards, and the centre of the city, Jetty St and Church St, were full of cheerful folk, all wearing either Mountain Warehouse or Trespass windbreakers and cagoules and also eating Whippy (I myself was somewhat different, dressed up in my colourful Regatta jacket).
But in the early evening the rain became so intense that the beach suddenly was left completely empty, and L. stepped in, taking pics of a swarm of gulls swooping on the surging waves. And that’s where it got meta and recursive as I took photos of L. sneaking photos of gulls.
