And then, there was blackberry harvesting again: the weather was rather bleak yet Coldham’s Common felt serene as usual, with lazy calves lying by the road, fresh and somewhat wet grass with sporadic nettles and thistles. Although the blackberry season is already upon us, we didn’t see our gathering competitors anywhere: whilst we picked the crop, folks passed us by on scooters (at least, they were reasonably quiet).
So here is the result: 800 g (1,7 lb) of fresh blackberries, which, I expect, will turn into jam tomorrow. Let’s see.
