I’ve always loved Fellows’ Dinners at Clare—not only because of the outstanding food, but also the jovial atmosphere: that discreet silliness that Cambridge academics are so very well equipped with. This time it yet again coincided with my birthday, and it was impossible to miss: what a blissful night that was!
I know, of course, that posting food is mauvais ton, but you couldn’t help yourself, as the Clare chef and its catering staff were absolutely incredible and masterful. Chapeau to them all! We thoroughly enjoyed their works of art—and chocolate & caramel Rudolf the Reindeer paired with clotted cream and orange ice cream (chef’s kiss: pun intended).
