It occurred to me only now that Benjamin from “The Graduate” is neurodivergent, and Anne Bancroft’s character plays with him for no apparent reason as if he were a broken toy and seduces him in the most awkward way possible. It’s plausible that she finds his dweeb nature highly amusing, but the rest of the plot seems highly contrived. Very boring (weird: 25 years ago I liked it, lol).
Also, I completely forgot that “Hello silence, my old friend” is a soundtrack to this silly movie.
