I can’t say that after seeing drawings by Dürer, Michelangelo and Rembrandt I truly wanted to immediately continue, knowing that the Albertina’s collection of everything, starting from Impressionism and Pointillism and continuing with Fauvism, Cubism, Dadaism, Avant-garde and Surrealism, is opulent yet, of course we did.
It was dense and terrific, but the memory did its funny trick again, highlighting Signac’s Mist over the Golden Horn as *the* one which is lingering in my mind ever since.
