These three days of the BASEES symposium were like nothing else: attending panels with my dear colleagues and friends who spoke about polyphony, comparative studies, classical literature “in progress” (meaning its impact will never end), I felt as if the delightful (and already obscure) past was back for a minute. I want to believe that one day normality will be restored.
