Ok, to resume it quickly: I loved this analysis a lot. Not only because it’s profoundly exhaustive—4,5 hours of a solid content isn’t a joke, but you don’t have to watch it all in one go, after all: the author(s) cleverly divided it into a few pieces, so you have some time to reflect on each of them in order to unfold their idea—but also because of its ‘itchy’ nature (you are basically striving for more) like in the good ole days when the Season 3 was streaming on Now.tv. Also, as a literary scholar, I appreciate a metatextual nature of this research, and, of course, have caught myself quite a few times on thinking about Genette’s “The architext: an introduction,” where he points out at transtextuality (“[...] all that sets the text in relationship, whether obvious or concealed, with other texts [...] “covers all aspects of a particular text”—Genette: 1992, 83-84). I won’t include any spoilers (luckily, the authors revealed them at the very beginning themselves), but I am sure that this attempt to approach Lynch’s method of a navigation in an imaginary world is at least worth our attention (not to mention that the very word “attention” is a key term there).
