The vast majority of the stained glass in St Edmundsbury is of Victorian origin (mostly, brilliant works by William Warrington and William Wailes; the west window is the Victorian adaptation of John Wastell’s work for Kings College Chapel, Cambridge), but the south-west corner window depicts the oldest work made by either French or Flemish workshops in the 16th century, “Susannah and the Elders”: curiously enough, if you look closely, you can notice that it was chaotically assembled in places after re-installing the window.
