Britney Spears’ shocking testimony about conservatorship: how did we end up here? (En)

Right now* Britney Spears is giving a statement during a court hearing about ending her conservatorship, and let me tell you: it is outrageous, dirty, brutal, and utterly reprehensible.
All these years—13 years in a row! — she was imprisoned and enslaved by her conservators, father and his lawyers, turned by them into a money-making machine.
“I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told with the conservatorship I was not able to get married and have a baby.” “I have an IUD inside of myself so that I don’t get pregnant, but [my team doesn’t] want me to have any more children.”—WHAT. THE. FUCK.
“I am not happy, I can’t sleep. I’m so angry, it’s insane. And I’m depressed.”
“The last time I spoke to you [the judge] … made me feel like I was dead. I am telling you again because I am not lying … so maybe you can understand the depth and the degree and the damages … I deserve changes.”
The people who did it to her should be in jail. NOW.
Free Britney!

UPD. I am lost for words. “Spears also told the court she had at one time been sent to hospital involuntarily and that medication had been switched without her knowledge, and compared her treatment to that of those who have been sex-trafficked.”
UPD.-2. UPD. Britney’s full statement. Honestly, it’s painful to read, it’s *that* shocking. I totally understand that conservatorship is, sadly, inevitable in certain situations, although it’s quite rare here, in Britain (I might be mistaken, but it’s called guardianship in the UK), but the way Spears was treated under the umbrella of mental breakdown by her wretched father is unfathomable to me. I read somewhere that it’s been established like a temporary solution, until she comes to terms with her life, but it looks like the bastard got a taste of big money and began shamelessly milking her for every penny. What a miserable excuse for a human being. What he did is called legally sanctioned coercive control, forced labour and financial abuse.
