Кромерские tutti quanti: “You know that you are at home when” (En)

You know that you are at home when
the hotel guys, a lovely gentle couple, give you tips and suggestions about new eateries, adding “…but, of course, you know the rest: it hasn’t changed,”
∙ when a waitress at your breakfast greets you, saying that she’s glad to see you back;
∙ when your breakfast is exactly the same as it was a year, two years, three years ago—plain yoghurt with honey, roasted nuts and a scoop of fresh berries with plenty of strong black coffee;
∙ when you see tractors moving around the shingle buzzing quietly;
∙ when there is a queue for a freshly brewed espresso at the North Sea Cafe;
∙ when youngsters are jumping on waves on their surfboards;
∙ when doggos excitedly bark at baby gulls;
∙ when the Pier stands in the blazing sun in its full glory;
∙ when the tide is going out, and you are walking to Overstrand, passing by the Lighthouse.
Love.
