Wilum Hopfrog Pugmire: 70th anniversary

Brilliant Wilum Hopfrog Pugmire would have turned 70 on this day. He was the epitome of a devoted Lovecraftian who lived his life on his own terms and whose fiction is one of the best things that happened with Weird since the Old Gent died. I deeply regret that I didn’t have a chance to meet him at the NecronomiCon Providence. So sad. So very sad.
But there are his books out there, and it is possible to be in a dialogue with him via his stories.
“[...] more of us are outsiders than aren’t; and that’s what the dear young ones too often fail to understand. They think they’ve learned it all by age fifteen. Perhaps they have. But they’re not the only ones who’ve learned it.” ©
