Conservative MP Sir David Amess has died after being stabbed multiple times in his constituency: he was at his surgery* in church. His death looks eerily similar to the murder of Jo Cox, a Labour MP who was killed under similar circumstances almost 5,5 years ago.
Unlike Jo Cox, Sir David was a Tory and a supporter of Brexit, which means that I wouldn’t agree with anything in his policies. But he also was a decent man who stood for his views, and he was brutally murdered inside the church, which makes everything even more horrendous and shocking.
The amount of laughing emojis and comments started with “although I don’t support the actual stabbing, I see where the perpetrator came from” and the like is staggering: I’m sure those who leave them, most likely, don’t regard themselves as stinking trolls but rather “opinionated people,” and my answer to them is pretty simple: fuck you and crawl under the rock where you belong with all your “multilayered beliefs.”
My deepest and sincerest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Sir David. May he rest in peace.

* For the people outside the UK: it means he was working as an MP in his own constituency, having various meetings with the electorate. Usually it happens on Fridays.
