While we were away, my Precious from Esté MacLeod arrived.
The preamble to the story: a few years back L. made his usual order from Farmer Gracy, an online shop for garden plants and flowers; along with the tulip bulbs and some perennials was a little card with a discount code. My attention was immediately drawn to the beautiful card image, which portrayed two birds in a garden setting, with foliage and florals.
I fell in love with this image immediately and, wherever I went, took this card with me—’bit odd, but having it in my purse gave me that instant soothing feeling of warmth and dreaminess. Time went by, the card got tattered, and I put it on my work desk where I could see it any time.
Yet at that stage I had already decided to find a larger print and frame it for one of the rooms—the smaller one whose window looks onto the garden. And so I did: luckily for me, Esté MacLeod has an online shop, where I found my favourite work of hers and she was kind enough to sign it for me.
And here it is—”Autunno“ by the fabulous Esté Macleod.
