Thinking of Cromer-Overstrand (En)

Finally installed a replica of a vintage piece (I wouldn’t call it a poster, because it’s an illustration from a 1933 issue of Tatler) featuring famous golf players from the West Norfolk Golf Club, which was at the time operating at Brancaster, North Norfolk. Not only does it look appealingly funny and in the style of Cold Comfort Farm, Jeeves and Wooster and even M. R. James’s imaginary activities outside his academic life, but also it brings up sweet nostalgia about Norfolk and our wanderings around Overstrand and its own golf club on the chalk hills. Sadly, the East Runton railway station, mentioned on the bottom of the image, doesn’t exist anymore, but you still can observe it while travelling on the steam train from Sheringham.
Oh, and I feel like my other Art Deco posters, Firenze and the flapper girl from Vogue, wouldn’t mind their new neighbour.
